Fashion Asia

This show was dissapointing. It was a mix of over-inspired and under-inspired. Four Pakistani designers showed, in order of appearance; Nomi Ansari, Maheen, Shameel, and Deepak Perwani.

Nomi Anari's collection was entitled "Circus," thank God I was seated way in the back. Otherwise, I think I may have gone blind from the exhausted use of sequins and bold colours.

The circus folk.

The lion.

The tent.

All this collection was missing was a trapeze and lion tamer. A human pyramid, wouldn't have gone amiss either.

Next was Maheen. Apparently Maheen was aiming for "timeless and elegant." But, uh, I think she misundertsood the assignment, because the collection was more bland and boring.

Colours, BLAH.

Black and sparkly evening gown, how innovative.

Unflattering, uninspired, so boooooringggg.

REDEMPTION!!! This piece is beautiful. It's elegant and different. But one good piece doesn't make a collection...

After this I lost my attention span. The rest of the collections looked like something you can find at the Market in Morocco. And then there was some menswear thrown in there, you know as a token, with some atrocious male models.

Is this guy for real? STRIKE A POSE MUCH?

Much love,

Freya xx
